Can you enter karazhan alone
If both raids are in the same level it makes more sense to compare first Karazhan with Naxxramax. Yeah I jumped into Naxx I reckon level 35 is the lowest one could tackle WOLTK content, but no idea if completing it is feasible.
I wonder how many more levels it would take to become a faceroll - 2, 3? I try the first boss of Karazhan, Attumen, with my level 35 Paladin and as you said it is pathetically easy. I tried removing all my gear except weapons, a naked paladin tank, nothing. Then I did the next step to reduce my power, resurrection sickness. With this at least I was required to heal myself and it took a few minutes to kill the boss, it is not challenging but at least it is not a one shot kill.
Keep in mind I only check Attumen and that is not a good boss to check how hard is to solo because Attumen because being the first raid boss of the expansion it was already an easy boss during TBC.
I am confident that other bosses with more mechanics will require to at least do the actual mechanics like for example do not stand on fire, becuase those things will kill the player. I solo previous expansions content during WOTLK, Cataclysm and Pandaria, and back them solo was like this, some content was easy, other was hard, but it was fun.
Look for an emote, such as 'Hyakiss the Lurker emerges from Killing the maiden does not prevent respawns in this room. The main value of this area is that it helps a new raid group build confidence and quickly levels everyone's reputation to honored so that Koren can be used to repair something you want the whole raid to be able to do. To check the week's event without making a real attempt, start it with Barnes , then with one or more people on stage to die leave the rest of the raid in the pit below.
The person s on stage will need to talk to Grandmother to finish starting the Big Bad Wolf, without this person the event can sometimes lock up the doorway and the GMs will not help you. The other two events will engage straight away and the person on stage will die. This can also be accomplished by sending a Hunter to start the event, and then Feign Death once the event is started.
Be aware that the conversations between the stagehands do not contain hints about the upcoming event. For a description of the entire Karazhan quest chain see: Karazhan Quest Progression. Getting [ The Master's Key ] opens the following follow-up quests:. Tier 4 parts dropped by The Curator Glove tokens :. Tier 4 parts dropped by Prince Malchezaar Helm tokens :. The bosses of Karazhan drop [ Badges of Justice ] in addition to their normal loot.
In Karazhan, all bosses drop two Badges each, except for the animal bosses zero , Attumen the Huntsman one and Prince Malchezaar three. Since the chest at the Chess Event also contains two badges, a total of 22 Badges can be obtained from clearing the entire instance.
Screenshot taken by Natala. The Karazhan gryphon roost is leftover from the planning phase of Karazhan. Before the teleport to Aran's room was implemented, the original plan was to have a flightpath that connected to the top of Karazhan for the convenience of groups who had already cleared most of the instance.
Since the release of Cataclysm and the possibility of flying in Azeroth it is possible to reach the Gryphon Roost. On the Gryphon Roost you can find 2 gryphons alive and well, but you can't interact with them. If you look into the portal you can see a wooden staircase leading up and down, but an iron gate prevents you from entering.

The skeletal ushers will try to usher you right outta there, but keep to the right until you exit through a door, go down a ramp, then through the orchestra pit to the opposite side of the stage.
Follow the backstage area until you come to a closed door and talk to Barnes to start the event. Exit stage left, and look for the stairs and ramps to that side of the audience that will lead you up and up. You'll find the Broken Stair, and the first indication of the disrepair that Karazhan has fallen into. Keep climbing the broken and twisted stairs until you emerge into the Menagerie. Tip: If you are in Karazhan on the hour, listen up.
You might hear the bells tolling for thee. Keep heading into the Menagerie, where you'll find the Curator. Then Things Get Weird. The Curator - This big arcane guardian drops Tier 4 gloves, and sometimes the aforementioned Menagerie Custodian battle pet. After defeating him, take the ramp on the side of the room down into the Library.
Strange forces are at work in the library, and space is becoming stretched and twisted. Head upward past the various arcane creatures until you come to a room with Shadow Pillagers and Homunculus. Click on the Perplexing Bookshelf and head down the ramp. Terestian Illhoof - The Satyr boss starts with an imp servant by his side, and calls more to join him as the fight carries on, so finish him quickly.
Thereafter, head back upstairs and up the ramp. The left exit leads to a closed door and the Shade of Aran. He died in a mysterious exchange of magical energies with his son when Medivh came of age, and now haunts this library.
After the Shade is put to rest, head back into the room you came from and turn left and head up the ramp. Netherspite - A powerful nether dragon is before you, and you may not be able to simply burn him down like most bosses in the tower. Once upon a time, raid teams had to coordinate movements in this fight to benefit from buffs or debuffs that made the difference between success and a boss that could not be ended.
Nowadays, you'll want to experiment with where to stand and where to position Netherspite relative to the beams, and it should be simple enough to find a spot that does the trick. Return to where you came from and follow the ramp down, and further into the twisted ramps and corridors of the library. Eventually you will come to a chamber that houses an unusually psychedelic Ethereal by the name of Ythyar. He was once instrumental in providing raiders with important recipes.
Open the doors in his room to reach the Chess Event. Chess Event - Medivh has a room-sized chessboard, and if you want to complete Karazhan, you'll have to brave the invisible gnomes, take control of your faction's chess pieces, and defeat Medivh and he controls the opposition. For most players, especially those who are clearing Karazhan solo, this is the challenge of the entire dungeon. You've got to exit a piece as soon as you've made your move, at which point you'll find yourself to the side of the chessboard.
Run back onto the chessboard to control the next piece. It can be hectic, and sometimes, Medivh has your number and you'll have to try again. After the Chess Event concludes, a chest will spawn near the Echo of Medivh.
You can also pick up your Tier 4 helm tokens here. Take a look around, and you'll notice that spacetime is really breaking down here, with all sorts of weirdness to be seen. Nightbane - A bonus boss that's only available to you if you've completed Archmage Alturus's questline , Nightbane is worth the effort if you're here hunting for Violet Eye rep.
